Collaborative Inquiry Initiative

 

 

This highly successful project involves teachers in collaborative inquiries directed at closing the gap in student achievement, increasing data literacy, and creating a culture of privacy of information. Two regional orientation sessions were held in October facilitated by researcher coaches who worked with the teacher teams for the school year.

The orientation session outlined the project process, allowed for regional sharing of tasks and issues related to the project, identified common tasks and the potential for a regional focus, as well as provided skill building in the collaborative process, data literacy and using data to close the gap. School administrators were invited to join their teams at the orientation session and specific sessions will be provided to facilitate their role in supporting teachers.

A showcase of the projects will be held in May 2013 where teacher teams and their administrators were involved in networking activities and sessions on sharing their learnings. Final reports on the projects can be accessed using the chart below.
